Change requests — what students asked to have changed

Requests students send from the Student Portal: a new phone number, address, email or name. Handle each one, then mark it done or decline it.

1What this page is for

What this page is for

Students can ask for a change to their details from the Student Portal. Each request lands here. Someone on staff makes the change in Transition Enroll, then marks the request Done here, or Declines it with a short reason.

Marking a request done does not change the student's record. Update Transition Enroll first, then mark it done here. This page only keeps track of who handled what.

Open and All

Open (the default) shows only requests nobody has handled yet, oldest first. All also shows the ones already done or declined, newest first, with who handled them, when, and their note.

The small number on the tab

When requests are waiting, the Change requests tab shows how many are open. It disappears when none are left.

It keeps itself up to date

While this page is open on your screen, it checks for new requests by itself every minute, so there is no need to reload.

Where the student's name comes from

From records the dashboard already holds: the Transition Enroll student number on the request, or else the email they used in the portal. When neither matches, the email is shown instead of a name.

2The number cards

The cards across the top of the page, left to right.

3Requests

One row per request: when it arrived and how many days ago, the student, what they want changed (name, email, phone number, address or something else), the new value, their own note, and the status. Open requests have Mark done and Decline buttons. Done and declined rows show who handled them, when, and the staff note.

5If something looks wrong

The page says change requests will appear once the database update is applied. The database table for requests has not been added yet. Nothing is broken; the page fills in by itself once it is.
A name is missing and an email shows instead. The request did not match anyone the dashboard knows. Look the email up in Transition Enroll.
Saving says nothing was changed.Someone else handled the request a moment earlier. The list reloads to show the latest.
